Be the business ChatGPT names.

When someone asks ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or Google's AI who to call, it names a few businesses. Answer engine optimization, AEO, is the work that makes yours one of them.

How assistants choose

They name the businesses the web talks about.

An assistant reads a handful of sources, then names a few businesses. These are the things that decide whether yours is one of them.

  • What others say about youIn an Ahrefs study of 75,000 brands, mentions around the web predicted who shows up in Google's AI answers far better than links did.
  • Where each one looksChatGPT's search mostly follows Bing, Claude's search runs on Brave, and Google's AI leans on Google's index and your Business Profile.
  • Facts it can quotePrinceton researchers found real numbers, quotes and named sources made a page 25 to 40% more visible in AI answers.
  • Details that agreeThe same name, website and description everywhere, so the assistant knows which business is yours.
  • Pages it can readFast pages, open to the crawlers assistants use, with structured data that spells out who you are.
  • Reviews in your customers' wordsWhat reviews say, not just the stars, is what assistants repeat when they describe you.

One question, one answer

When they ask, be the answer.

People don't scroll a list anymore. They ask, and they call whoever the assistant names.

What we do

Ask, fix, get mentioned, keep checking.

Four steps, from what the assistants say about you today to being the business they name.

  1. Ask

We ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI the questions your customers ask, and write down who they name today.

  2. Fix

Structured data, crawler access, fast pages and a plain summary of your business written for assistants to read.

  3. Get mentioned

Google Business Profile, Bing Places, Apple and Yelp listings, directories, reviews and mentions on sites assistants trust.

  4. Keep checking

Every month: what the assistants say, Bing's AI Performance report, and the visits assistants send you.

Nobody can promise that an assistant will name you. Anyone who does is guessing. What we can do is make your business the clearest, best documented answer, and show you every month where you stand.

Questions

Your questions, answered.

What is answer engine optimization (AEO)?

AEO is the work that gets your business named when people ask an AI assistant like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or Google's AI Mode for a recommendation. It covers everything those assistants read about you: your website, your listings, your reviews and what other sites say.

What is the difference between AEO and SEO?

SEO gets your pages ranked in Google's list of results and on the map. AEO gets your business named inside the answer itself. They share the same foundations, and AEO adds mentions on other sites, listings that agree and pages written to be quoted. More about our SEO.

How do I get my business recommended by ChatGPT?

Make sure Bing and ChatGPT's crawlers can read your site, list your business with the same details everywhere, including Bing Places and Yelp, which ChatGPT uses for local answers, earn reviews and mentions on sites people trust, and publish clear answers to the questions your customers ask. Nobody can promise a mention, but this is what moves it.

Is AEO the same as GEO?

Mostly, yes. GEO, generative engine optimization, is another name for the same idea: being found and quoted by AI answers. Some people also call it SEO for AI.

How long does AEO take to work?

Fixes on your own site can be read within days. Mentions, reviews and listings build over weeks and months. We check what the assistants say every month, so you can see it move.

Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend my business?

No, and anyone who does is guessing. Assistants decide for themselves. We make your business the clearest, best documented answer and show you where you stand each month.

How do you measure AEO?

Every month we ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Mode the same questions your customers ask and record who they name. We also read Bing's AI Performance report, which shows when Copilot cites your pages, and the visits that come from assistants in your Analytics.

Do I need a new website for AEO?

No. Most of the work happens on the site you have and around the web. If your site blocks the crawlers assistants use, or hides its words where they cannot read them, we fix that first.

Next step

Be the answer they get.

We start by asking the assistants about you, and show you exactly what they say today.
